US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin are holding a bilateral meeting at the Presidential Palace in Helsinki, Finland – July 16, 2018.

Putin and Trump are expected to discuss a range of international issues and bilateral relations, in particular, the alleged Russian meddling in the 2016 US elections, Syria, Ukraine, NATO and US economic sanctions.

Donald Trump WINKS at Putin during high stakes Helsinki summit

US President Donald Trump appeared to wink at Vladimir Putin as the world leaders met face-to-face in Finland today. Flanked by Russian and US flags, they sat awkwardly just feet apart at the start of their long-awaited summit in Helsinki. As the leaders locked eyes over the small table separating them, Trump, 72, gave the Russian president a cheeky wink. Putin, 65, replied with a curt smile and gestures to say a few words before they retreated to a private meeting room.
